"Life is like riding a bicycle. to keep your balance, you must keep moving." - Albert Einstien
For this year’s Spring Starter Triathlon Camp we have teamed up with Jonathan from Deep Roots Athletics for 2 seminars covering The Nervous System and Performance
This seminar’s aim is to explain the vast impact the nervous system has on our perception, output, and behaviours around training and ultimately our life. A few things that we will touch on are the following:
The phylogenetic hierarchy, also known as Flow, Fight, Flight, and Freeze and the importance of understanding these states and their impact on training, performance, and life.
Lactate (Lactic acid) unpacking and understanding what this hormone, fuel, and anti inflammatory is ACTUALLY intended to do for the body. (Hint; it’s not a waste product).
How the nervous system and lactate are connected, and the impact it has on our behaviour as a function not a disease (anxiety/depression).
How your physical structure could be holding you back from better performance, faster times, and less nagging injury.
WINTER GROUP SPIN SESSIONS
We’ve been spinning strong all Fall and the plan is to keep the momentum going until Spring. I’m happy to announce our Winter spin dates below. We will focus on structured rides with appropriate build progressions for VO2 max, sweet spot threshold and strength focused aerobic endurance. When you sign up you will have access to the recorded Zoom session for one week and receive a weekly email with training tips and strategies as well as a recipe to help you nourish your performance.
If you have a smart trainer, the prebuilt workout is available on Trainerroad as part of the Bee3 Team. You do not need a smart trainer to get all the benefits of these sessions. Just show up, work hard and reap all the strength gains.
Session Times:
Tuesday Morning 7am (ZOOM ONLY)
60-75 min VO2 max focused ride plus a 10 min dynamic stretch routine
Winter block: Jan 2nd to Mar 19th

I will be at Monica and Kevin’s garage every other week, but you are welcome to join them every week (unless otherwise stared) All session will be available on Zoom if you want to ride from home.
