The Covid-19 lifestyle that has been thrust upon us all made working out by myself hazardous during my recovery from a MVA.

I contacted Tanya, did the necessary Par-Q’s and sent her a picture of my mediocre equipment in my small condo. Working out virtually with Tanya has been great. Using a social media app and my iPad, I have her set on a small table where she can see my full body on the matt or standing. I sweat just the same as when I am with her, she modifies things that don’t work for me after receiving feedback from me via text or email. The isolation has not really made a difference in the quality of the workouts I have always received from Tanya. I still feel safe with her guide and my body awareness. I also feel like I will keep making babysteps back to strong physical health instead of slowly declining during the isolation period. Thank you Tanya!

Tanya is a coaches coach. If your looking for training and help with your event, Tanya sure can help. Tanya also can bring to the table what you really are looking for, guidance and support. I’ve had a few coaches for different events I’ve done over time, no one helped prepare me for the mentally tough parts of the events the way Tanya has. Training is the physical part of a event, but not a lot of coaches want to spend the time or effort to check that mentally you are prepared for your event. Tanya has been my triathlon coach over the past year and has taken me from barely running 5 miles to qualifying in my age group (60-64 years old) for the national triathlon long distance world championships. We worked closely together on my training plan and I’ve gotten to know her well. When my colleagues at work saw the change in me they were enthusiastic about doing circuit training with Tanya at our worksite. Tanya set up a 12-week boot camp challenge for my office. My colleagues are all women ranging in age from 40 to 60 years and with varying goals from enhancing sport performance to just feeling better. Twice a week we convert our patient waiting area in to our personal gym. Tanya brings a range of equipment for each “station” then directs us on the movement goal for the station. Tanya understands each exercise and the reasons to include it or modify it for each person. She has a sound knowledge of training and fitness and she is passionate about safe, effective technique.

Tanya likes data! She recorded our pre-workout abilities on certain exercises to get a baseline which we will perform again this week for comparison. The workouts are tough but fun with Tanya’s good humor and support. My colleagues come to the workout even on their days off because they “don’t want to miss a workout”. Needless to say you can image the team building effect this has had on our office.

Tanya has been training my family members and I since May 2016.
Tanya has a friendly and personable demeanor and always conducts herself in a professional manner. From working with my family members (ages 22-75) it is evident that Tanya has the ability to effectively work with many types of personalities, age groups and fitness levels. Tanya is currently training three generations in our house with varying physical capabilities.
Each one of us is at a different physical fitness level and has different goals that we are working towards. However, this seems to pose little challenge for Tanya as she is able to tailor her exercises for each individual and has been a great support system in helping us achieve our goals. Some of us have had surgeries and reoccurring back problems and Tanya has always been able to modify exercises on the spot to enable us to work out without injuring ourselves.
Tanya is the type of individual who goes above and beyond. For example, my youngest daughter who trained with us over the summer recently moved to Victoria. Yet, Tanya continues to provide her with support by emailing her customized work out plans and providing nutrition information and support. This demonstrates Tanya’s willingness to help others achieve their goals, even if it means going the extra mile.
My family members and I are very pleased with Tanya’s capabilities, knowledge and work ethic. The fact she arrives at our house consistently on time for 5:30 am work outs to accommodate my family’s needs proves her commitment and discipline.

Tanya has been our family trainer for the past two years. During our sessions she has the task of training up to all six family members (wife and I, three daughters and my son). Our ages differ by thirty-seven years and our abilities and fitness levels are also wide ranging.
